The Affine Risk Engine is a cutting-edge research hub enabled by ultraETH, aimed at enhancing the security and reliability of early-stage Actively Validated Services (AVSs) on the EigenLayer. By leveraging ultraETH, the Affine Risk Engine facilitates the validation of new AVSs. Through this validation, it collects critical data on slashing risks and analyzes them to obtain actionable insights for the restakers.

The Affine team of quantitative specialists has developed expertise in performing comprehensive risk analysis for on-chain activities, including early AVSs. The team has published a research paper on AVS yields and risks. The insights from this paper reveal how Sharpe ratios can reach equilibrium, highlighting the importance of a robust risk engine.
